    hyper-quality export

    by VJFranzK » Tue Sep 20, 2005 8:52 am

using the logical record a lot, preparing material for DVD
it works very well, to duplicate exactly what was recorded

by comparison, in Arkaos, the quality of live performance is less ( lo frame-rate, blocky ) but when it's exported, that improves signifigantly
could such a "hyper-quality export" be implemented in modul8?

    modulGREAT! ;)

You can renderer in a highher resolution for that.

    it works very well

I find it currently unusable due to dropped frames.

resolution works fine! ;) my specific issue is:

when a LOT of .mov layers (+luma) are going at once, their framerate drops. I know, that's because the CPU/GPU is being overtaxed... turning off layers solves it.

but durring a logical export ( when the demand for realtime speed display isnt there) could it keep the many layers going at their normal frame rate?

(after thinking about it, perhaps it's because the logical record grabs the exact frame numbers shown at each moment?)

Can we obtain a better image quality with the S-VHS output or with the Logical Render to release a master ?
What are the best settings (resolution...) and the best graphic available card for a G5 & Modul8 ?
    Thanks & best,
    Philippe
