    Native Projector Resolution

    by madsmeskalin » Fri Mar 18, 2011 1:51 am

I was wondering about several things regarding Modul8´s resolution.

    1. What does it mean that Modul8 automatically runs at the projectors native resolution? Does that mean that clips made in 640 - 480 will natively on a projector with 800 - 600? Does it use a floating bits so that the only thing resolution will matter is scaling on clips?

    2. Is there any way to adjust the default scale parameter? My clips 800 x 600 always turns out too big, so I have to resize everyone of them,

    3. Is there any way to make the painter module run at 12/3 ratio?

    4. If I connect a matrox triplehead2go, it asks me for the resolution I want to run. Lets say my projectors native resolution is 800 x 600. Will 2400 x 1800 be that much better than 1920 x 1200, because of the native resolution thing?

    best wishes,
    Mads

While I do not have the answers even after I struggled with the same kind of problems in January I recommend to look at these topics for some help:

1-m8 is not projector native. you have to set the output res in OSX
    2 -use the normalise button
3- seems you cant - just scale the layer up to fill your output.
    4 - how do you go from 4:1 to 4:3? surely you mean 2400 x 600?
