Hello All,

I'v been working in M8 with 1080p SDI video capture via BlackMagic DeckLink Studio.

Suddenly I lost access to the "Compression type" in M8, Im stuck in Uncompressed 10-bit 4:2:2
The M 8" Source And Setting " window seems to be " crashed " .
I'v tried to reinstall M8 but it stays the same.

Is there any files a must remove from the system to full reset M8?

Best regard
Alex

the settings window is related to quicktime… did you update your OS or Quicktime?

It could be the blackmagic drivers. They quite infamous for releasing drivers that add/fix stuff but also break other stuff.
Also (someone correct me if I'm wrong) but changing the compression on a video in is unnecessary as it's more of a pass through and you should get better performance with it set on uncompressed anyway.

I dint update Qt but updated BM drivers, but only after the problem, trying to resolve and dint work.

What else can i do?

What is the difference from "uncompressed" to "none" when selecting a codec?

This just happened to me, is there any other fix besides reinstalling the operating system?
