USB Graphics Adapter vs. Dualhead2go

Hello,
I want to experiment with multiple outputs in modul8, but I am working with an iMac, so I cannot install another internal video card. I have been looking at either getting a dualhead2go or some kind of USB video adapter, such as this:
http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=46378
The usb card is more affordable, and I was just wondering if anybody had experience with either of these devices and could make any recommendations. Will the usb card even get recognized by modul8?
The only thing I have heard is that the usb can have a slight lag behind the main feed, but I will be projecting different material on surfaces that are not connected, so I'm not trying to line them up or anything.
Basically, I am wondering if I can get away with just a usb card or if its much wiser to spend the extra $$ and go with the dualhead. Are there any other options for multiple output that I should look into?
