Display freeze frames in a clip?

    by Vibber » Mon Feb 27, 2006 2:11 am

    Hi again,
I like to hear any suggestions for this effect I'm trying to achieve. I'd like to display only every xx frame of a movie clip to get a jagged motion or a freeze frame effect. I would then like to sync the frame rate of this to the music.
Can that be done in modul8?

    best regards

I have found a workaround in some way. I can achieve the effect I want by exporting my movie with a very low frame rate (2 fps) and then adjusting the speed of the movie in Modul8 till it syncs with the beat.
    Just FYI ...

I suppose a module that plays with the scratch controls could be created so it moves the wheel every N steps, all sync'ed with the BPM code already available there ;)

There's a module that goes a little way towards this called 'MovieMaker' I think but it uses sound-in rather than bpm
to modulate the clip position and clip speed.
It may be a good starting point for module making though?
