problem importing swf-media

I have a problem importing some swf-media into the modul8 (demo) for macosx. The clips are made with Flash MX.
It's sligthly odd, since some files import with no problems, others rejected with a »Media not supported«. I considered if it was scripted versus animated movies, but that doesn't seem to be the issue.

Anyone got an idea?

It has to be in Flash 5 for it to work.

Please note that only quicktime compatible movies are supported (this is also true for Flash animation - if Quicktime cannot open it, Modul8 won't too).

Any plans on supporting later version of flash?

Nothing like this planned for now.
This will depend on new versions of quicktime.

But it's easy to just save your files again in Flash version 5

As Boris pointed out, we use QT to read and to interpret Flash content. It would require too much time to write our own Flash interpreter. It means that the latest version of Flash files will be automatically supported as soon as QT will support it (without even having to update Modul8). Now I don't know if Apple plans to improve Flash support anytime soon.
