    Akai MPD32

    by reitek » Mon Apr 16, 2012 8:09 pm

Hey guys, for some reason my mpd32 is acting screwy. Whenever I press the drumpads it affects other random parameters in modul8 I don't even have mapped to the mpd32. Sometimes I'll press a pad and it'll change the RGB vales or the Alpha master output. Sometimes it'll shut the layers on and off. I don't know why it's doing this. Anyone have similar problems with the mpd32? Are there any fixes?

. do you see MIDI data coming in from the Akai using MIDI Monitor (http://www.snoize.com/MIDIMonitor/) other than what you're expecting ?

. have you tried disabling all of your modules and seeing if the behavior continues ?

. have you tried deleting your Modul8 preferences ? (search the forum for how to do that)

. that's fine - it looks like it's sending channel pressure for the pad

. have you tried turning off all modules and seeing if the weirdness is still happening ?

Yup. Tried shutting everything down and restarting. I'm just gonna send it back and get an APC40. It's what we use at the club I work at and it works fine. I have a good setup for it. I just liked the mpd32 because it had those pads.

i had this problem you just need to edit the mpd32 and change the settings for each pad in each bank then save that for reuse.

on the 32:: press edit > press enter > then touch the pad you wanna change > then change the middle value MTY to TGL
