Lotsa red dots....

Quick question on whether this will run or not:

I'm looking to see if I have this set up right for optimal performance.

Macbook Pro, 16gb RAM, 2.2 gHZ quadi7, Radeon 6750m

Clips are on an external 1 TB. RAID 0 on FW800

Clips are 1280x720, PJPEG at 70%

Outputting to Madmapper

Some of the clips are rather large (1.5-3gb) but they also don't have a lot of motion/moving info in them. Some are just static images, but they last a long time. Should I set the RAM preload to 'Direct to disk' or 'RAM preload'?

I should add there are 54 clips in all...about 140gb total.

Just remember, a 3GB file is not 3GB in the memory when it's preloaded or preloaded uncompressed.
Select your media in the Media Set and press the i-button to get info about your media and you'll see how big the files are in the memory using the different loading methods. Having such huge files preloaded won't work.

Well it would appear that my setup does indeed play all that media. I think the combo of a FW800 raid and a boatload of ram is all its cracked up to be. I can sleep now....
Thanks Modul8!
