    Overlaying 2 Projectors

    by simond » Sat Jun 02, 2012 4:35 am

Been having a hell of a time setting up a 2 projector rig using the Matrox DualHead2Go. Basically we want to overlay the two projector outputs onto the same area, thus increasing the luminosity. However, it seems that the Matrox can only create one long screen (with the two outputs side by side). Does anyone know a way of solving this? Also, how can we tweek the output from M8 to accommodate this. Our video sizes and output on each projector is 1280x800 and always need scaling in the preview window! I read that the preview window can only scale 4:3 ration videos correctly, so would it be better if we used 1024x768 instead? How does using Advanced Output have affect with the Matrox and Preview Windows?

Sorry if this is a bit vague but we're fairly new to all this and sometimes getting rather confused too, lol.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Simon.

Why do you use DualHead2Go when just simple VGA/DVI repeater will do. And moreover most projector have VGA pass through to put the same image to the next projector. Align the projectors with built-in grid(I assume you are using a PRO projector) and then use single output from your mac.
