Hello Dear garage cubist,
Does syphon enable pingpong??
I mean send to Jitter via syphon from modul8 and then get after treatment back to Modul8???
And at least is it normal that once connected via syphon to Jitter my output flashes away??

In a patch called VPT http://hcgilje.wordpress.com/vpt/
there is 1 syphon out and 2 in...
So i'm not really sure but it should be able to ping pong somewhere on the GPU without feedback??

BTW did i miss the syphon input in Modul8?

What i would like is to be able is to do a treatment based on voice formant analyses connected to a noise effect in jitter and send it to modul8.
Is there a trick to connect ( without a hardware ) the output from jitter to Modul8??

Jitter to Modul8 yes. Modul8 has no native Syphon input but it's possible with some tricks. Check my blog post and read all the comments to make it as fast as possible: http://themidithief.com/2011/06/syphon-input-in-modul8/

Cool unsupported idea !!! like that kind of behaviour!!!
Ok everything is nice but the lost framerate is killing for me.
So this is an ending message for gargecube coders...give us a real syphon input for christmas

Did you save the Quartz file as a QuickTime mov file? It will make it a little bit faster.

I second the wish for native Syphon input for christmas. As I did last year, and probably the year before.
