is there a way to get the sound analysis settings to save with the project file save?

also -
although i got the sound analysis working how i want...
could someone explain the terms 'scale' and 'damping' in relation to sound ( though i think damping smooths the response..) but scale..?
i have asked this before, and no proper answer yet.. hoping some new folks may know.
