Very simple question. Does Modul8 work with the new Mac OS 10.9?

    Very simple answer:

    YES ;)

I've been on 10.9 for one month and everything's fine for what I've done with it.

    Sorry,
but I have a big issue with 10.9 and modul8.
As you can see on the image attached below, the top menu bar appears on my external display fullscreen.
I don't have this problem with other applications. (quicktime or even madmapper are ok.)
So, am I the only one, did I miss a trick?
By the way I have the problem with both modul8 2.7 and 2.8
    Thanks for answering...

    From Isadora forum:

Go to System Preferences > Mission Control > You need to turn “Displays have separate Spaces” OFF and then restart machine.

    Works here - John

ok thanks, this workaround does the trick ;)

but we loose the 10.9 new feature: to use all apps, fullscreen, on each display... :(

use madmapper! i´ve no systembar on the top my output screen- everything works fine for me on 10.9. Maybe the performance (ram preload) is slower.

I am having trouble with Modul8 and 10.9. Save dialogues are not working properly. Sometimes they close themselves without savings, other times they don't come up at all. Anyone else seeing this behavior?

UPDATE: This is not a Modul8 problem. Apparently it is system wide issue with the Coverflow view. The work-around is to make sure you are viewing by list, icons, or anything but Coverflow view.

Modul8 Crashing from time to time

    by vjspetto » Sun Dec 01, 2013 7:00 am

I using Maverick (ok, dont ask WHY i ve updated) and now Modul8 is crashing from time to time.
Scenario: 4 layers, photojpg, sizes between 640x480 to 1280x720.
I start to mix and load new loops and mix and load new loops and ... suddenly ... it goes down.
There's no especific moment or loop to crash, it just crashes randomilly.
My system is a first generation retina, 2.3Hgz i7 15 inches 8GB ram.
Any suggestion (apart downgrade to Lion or Montain Lion)?

    Log shows:

    01/12/13 01:25:18,956 Modul8[1413]: Modul8[1413,0xb039f000) malloc: ***
    mach_vm_map(size=3686400) failed (error code=3)
    *** error: can't allocate region
*** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug
