Flickering (blackmagic intensity shuttle thunderbolt)

Hello everyone. I have a small problem with using modul8 and intensity shuttle thunderbolt. When I connect the camera through hdmi very often picture output flickers. This problem is solved by switching the video input mode blackmagic capture card in the settings modul8 (for example PAL to NTSC and back on PAL). But it does not always work the first time. I changed intensity shuttle to another and camera to another, the same result.
Custom macbook pro retina (haswell Intel Core i7 2,6 Ghz, 16Gb, 1Tb). Module 2.7.1 Maverick 10.9.1
Found a similar problem on the forum blackmagic, but there it was associated with usb 3 and laptop power saving mode. Maybe somebody knows because of what it can be?

http://youtu.be/4mwfY5DipBk Video is not mine but flickers just like me...

Sorry if my English is bad))

its probably cable length. its normal for HDMI & DVI to 'sparkle' if the cable is too long.
max recommended is 5m

I use two cameras in the play. One is connected via an extender Kramer PT-571, and at some point I connect another camera directly to intensity shuttle through hdmi wire 1 meter long. Irrespective of connecting both cameras sometimes flicker.
Another option in the settings modul8 possible move the slider in the Video Buffer Precision condition fast and flicker just disappears.
I think that this is something to do with bandwidth. But where?

Thanks for the tip! I think it will help me. I will write the results when try. And I want to try thunderbolt wire less 1 meter long (now I have 2 meters, but the original Apple). Excluding just in case all the crazy options. :)

Sorry for hijacking the thread but @deepvisual have you had any luck with BlackSyphon? I tried it briefly and contrary to their claim, it seems SIGNIFICANTLY slower than using the Quicktime capture in Modul8...

i tested it and did not notice that big latency!

I will double check this.

@ Vaha

did you check with Blackmagic Media Express the Camera input?

i found that without this tool the BM sometimes finds the signal sometimes it doesn´t.

Yes, I check with Blackmagic Media Express. I install the entire software package Desktop Video. Flickering appears with Black Syphon too (with the Media Express tool)

I don't know if it's my particular Blackmagic card or what, but I've been having issues with mine lately. I primarily use my card to ingest video from other computers and Blackmagic claims that the RGB colorspace is not compatible with the Blackmagic card (which I think is BS on several levels, but that's neither here nor there). I'm going to try another one soon hopefully, but I've not been having great luck lately...

i had big trouble with an intensity studio.
I think the intensity range has driver issues..
in the end I took out the recent BM software and used the older version
this made it work in the apps that didn't see it, but it stopped working in the apps that did
lol

@deepvisual

I have been wondering if I'm having a driver issue as well. Would you kindly tell me what version of the driver you're using?
