    Sound Analysis

    by tdog » Fri Mar 21, 2014 12:00 pm

    Hi,
May have asked this before, but i've been away from Modul8 for a while.....
Why can't Modul8 save my sound analysis prefs?
I have to reset every time. though not difficult, it is very annoying..

    thanks.

    Hi tdog,

we were not aware of this bug, this is now corrected and will be available in the "soon to be released" Modul8 v2.8

In the meantime, you could get a correction by contacting support [at] garagecube [dot] com

I understand it I will use the DMX fixture module in Modul8 to control the software. As in I will patch on the lighting board channel 1 universe 1 and that will control the effect that corresponds to the same channel on the DMX fixture module.

Hi everyone. Please excuse my newbie question, but I'm trying to decide between a few types of software and have been experimenting with the Module8 Demo. I plan to use the software to create audio-reactive visuals for performance with a live band. What I'm wondering is this: How flexible is the sound analysis? On the surface level, it seems like it can only be mapped to the "Animation" parameters. Is this the case? I'd be very interested to use sound analysis to control other parameters too (clip speed, effects settings, changing between clips, etc). Is Module8 flexible in this way? And if so, can someone point me in the right direction with some reading or some tutorials? Thanks in advance!
