30FPS render is not as smooth as live output

Rendering 30fps produces a slightly choppy animation (individual "snowflakes" slowly rotating and crossing the screen.)

Rendering 60fps produces a video that is as smooth as my live output.

I need to work with this footage in Final Cut Pro 7, and ultimately need the end footage to be 30fps.
I'm guessing this may be the difference of how Modul8 creates it's live output vs rendering it's logical record.

Any suggestions of how to achieve a render that is as smooth as the live output?
Is there a simple method for converting my 60 fps rendered clip to 30 fps. This may preserve the smooth motion better.

I'm using the most current Modul8. I have zero issues with smooth live output.

    Many thanks!

I have not used FCP for years. But can't you work with 60fps material in FCP and render final export to 30fps.
If FCP will not allow you to do so use any video editor to convert the frame rate - QT, MpegStreamclip, Handbrake.
I stopped using FCP because of its rigid presets system although I used FCP since v.1.5. When Premiere CS6 came about there was no need to get frustrated with FCP any more. I can mix any codec and size and frame rate clips without a complaint to render before real time preview.
