Someone else has set up our M8 with midi trigging from Ableton Live, but after we updated the M8 from v2.7 to v2.9 we can't get the midi to trigger. We get midi in on the Mac, but nothing happens in M8. Under Preferences / Key/Midi Mapping I have ticked the Midiport A. From our Midi monitor we can se that the Mac receives Midi in, but it doesn't seem to be routing correctly. As for now we use midi over usb, but want to change this to midi through Ethernet. Any ideas?

. generally, the MIDI relationships are saved in the project, not as defaults in Modul8.

. first, check 'Modul8' -> 'Preferences' then look at the 'Key/Midi Mapping' tab. i prefer 'Use Document Mapping configuration' - then make all the MIDI assignments and 'File' -> 'Save' the document..

. to see what is assigned choose 'Mapping' -> 'Edit Midi Map' to see what is assigned. All MIDI selectable items will be green and you should see channel / (note or controller) number on the items that are being controlled. Note - make sure your MIDI devices are connected before launching Modul8
