live video input with gopro hero4

    by Catli3 » Mon Aug 22, 2016 2:19 pm

    Hi
am trying to feed live image into the mix for a performance. (M8 2.9.2)
Got a gopro hero4 and a mbp running 10.11.6. and tried the following connections: (unsuccessfully)
    microHDMI into HDMI ...:(
    MicroHDMI into thunderboltport ...:(
    USB to USB ... :(

I did manage to connect my old DV camera, but I'd like to use the Gopro for a crisper input image.
( I did try unchecking the video input : quicktime sequence grabber in the preference panel)

Any ideas out there to solve my problem?

anyone with a less pricey solution?
    :(

    ]quote]Hello Cat,

The easiest solutionis using a capture card HDMI blackmagi such as the ulstrastudio mini recorder

You will also need a go pro HDMI cable to connect to the video card.

    that's the way to go…
maybe you can find a cheaper capture card but it might not be working properly with modul8…
