Unanswered Spatial Scan Issue

I am using
Madmapper 2.2.6 Serial 2B6L-xxx-xxxx-xxxx-VYKG
with a late 2015 iMac 5k with 32 gigs of ram.
Running Osx 10.11.8
with a USB Tethered Canon t6i set on S2, small jpeg 1080x
Projector attached via HDMI
When I launch spatial scan I get the dialog that shows the camera and projector attached as seen. When I run the scan, an error window appears saying that I must use jpeg and not camera raw,etc. I have looked up this on the forums and the solution is to upgrade the Mac OS and the version of MadMapper, as both are up to date, what do you suggest I do?
I have seen this issue on numerous boards and no resolution.
