Installing and cofiguring miniMad on Raspberry pi 3

    by IssamHachex » Fri Sep 14, 2018 8:45 pm

    Hello,

I'm trying to configure the image of the miniMad on my Raspberry pi3, i'm configuring 6 at the same time. but the issue, that when i have installed and launched the miniMad Image, i was blocked by a screen asking me to press the red button!
I don't have the case of the miniMad, i only have the RP pi3.
I have read the manual, i saw all the keyboard shortcuts, for cropping, mapping and everything else, but i couldn't see how to continue after this specific screen...
and another question, am i obliged to have an ethernet connectivity? a wifi network couldn't work with the integrated onboard wifi adapters?

I'm pretty in a hurry to get answers, your quick reaction is so much highly appreciated,
    Thank you guys!

    Issam

Maybe you just need to buy a MiniMad to have the red button…

miniMAD images are meant to be used in official miniMAD hardware only.

Thank you Pierre for your honest reply.
for this project, I have used 7 Raspberry pi in synchro and projected on translucent video screens. Using Omxplayer-Sync functionalities... some of the tweaks are needed to get a good result.
I hope that one day you make your hardware open to the community...

Thank you guys for your constant support, and I hope to meet you next year in Geneva for the mapping festival. Do you know any dates?

    Cheers,
    Issam

    You're welcome Issam.

As I explained in another post about the same subject, so far the miniMAD development is paid by miniMAD sales, and why we need people to use the real miniMAD to keep improving it :)

Here's what I found about Mapping 2019 in Geneva:
    https://www.geneve.com/fr/events/mapping-festival-2019/
I don't have any idea about the program and if we will participate yet.
