Audio Latency

Hello,

We have a multi-channel video installation running the same video on each screen. We're having issues with the audio latency creating an echo sound between the monitors. It's distracting and we're trying to figure out how to fix it.

We have them running through a dedicated network switch, but we even tried just 2 miniMADs directly connected to each other with a network cable, but the audio echo still occurs. Is there a sample rate we should be export our videos in (44khz or 48khz) or does this have to do with the refresh rate we export from MadMapper (60hz or 50hz)?

Thanks for the help!!

James

The echo is most probably due to the up-to-a-video-frame delay that's induced by the synchronization mechanism.

If all the miniMADs are playing the same audio track, I advice you to output sound from a single miniMAD, if possible.
