Input Crop and output crop is different

    by fatcat » Tue Jun 11, 2019 6:41 pm

    Hi to all!
i have a full HD clip. 1920x1080 px.
in INPUT i crop my clip only 23 px on the top and 23 px in bottom.

i export to mimimad with default setting
i've leave checked Adjust movie resolution and Crop Media Files .

the files on the SD card is 1600 x 860....

where are they gone the other pixel? why minimad reduce my files size?

Depending on various parameters, including the output and movie resolutions & framerates, MadMapper can downscale the movie during export to ensure a smooth playback on the miniMAD.

You can deactivate this feature in the advanced parameters, but depending on your movie, the result may be less smooth.

ok i understand. so it reduce also my files resolution?

if MM it crop my files from 1920x1034 to 1600x860.

    a) it has the same quality with less pixel??

b)...or less pixel and quality but a smooth playback.

it will have the less perceptual degradation while ensuring the smoothest playback
