Universe Syncronization

Hi all
I have a setup of LED tape that is controlled from a MiniMad V4 running 10 universes of Artnet unicast to 2 controllers. I have the MiniMad running into a network switch with each controller. I seem to get dropped frames and or non synchronisation of the 2 units. To test I fade the LED up to a solid colour, some times both controllers work and some times only 1 does, sometimes they both work but there timings do not match. I have tested with LumiNet and I am only getting 8-9fps.
When setup on Madmapper4 on an intel Nuc everything works as expected.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
