Poor performance on MM4

Hi there,
I have a MiniMad model 2 and just tried updating it to MM4.0.4 for the first time.
Running a very simple recording, with 4 universes at 30 fps results in very poor performance, whereas with MM3 I never had these issues.
Recording in MadMapper 4 runs smoothly, and playing back the recording does as well, but the playback in the MiniMad is choppy and slow.
Anyone had similar issues with the new software?

Just adding to this that I tried unicast and multicast, and running LEDs over artnet with wired Ethernet - same setup as I've been using for very long with no issues.
