Some questions before purchase

I'm interested in getting a couple of miniMAD units for an upcoming art installation but I have a few questions before I do so:

- Are you able to sync two or more miniMAD units for multi-projector projects?
- I see that you can select a media list but are you able to control the transition speed and mode between media?
- and if you use a image file, can you select a different time for each image or is the [image display time] the same for all images?
- what's the best audio/video codec and picture format for miniMad?
- anyway to use a live input into the miniMAD and if not is it something you're thinking about?
- you sell miniMAD with an 8GB card but I'm sure one could replace it with a larger SD card to accommodate more media, right?

Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving,
Frédéric

- you cannot sync - yet -
- slideshow of images( no transitions ) . kiosk mode for movies (one after the other)
- same time for all images
- h264 720p
- no live input, not planned in the future
- you can replace with a bigger card, although it is a bit tricky

Thank you Franz,

- you cannot sync - yet -
So you are planning it, right? Any chance it will be using OSC syntax.

- slideshow of images( no transitions ) . kiosk mode for movies (one after the other)
Is there a plan to support transitions? If you use a loopable sequence, will it play seamlessly or will there be a pause?

- same time for all images
OK

- h264 720p
So it'll play 1080p but 720 is preferred.

- no live input, not planned in the future
Not even to capture HDBaseT?

- you can replace with a bigger card, although it is a bit tricky
Will there be any guidelines on how to do it or will you offer larger Micro SD cards in the future?

there will be no transition, as transition involves playing 2 media at the same time during transition, which is not possible due to hardware limitations.

multiple minimad sync' is almost done and in the process of being intensively tested.
Testing takes a lot of time, because we want to make sure we don't loose the sync after a week of continuous running.

if you fill up your 8GB card and need a bigger capacity, please go though the official support they'll guide you.

Hey Franz,

How is the sync testing going?

I can confirm that the sync is working great. It is in the latest Beta version of MadMapper and should be out soon.
