Hello all ,
is there a way to have some streaming video from Jitter to Module8 internaly.
I mean I have some generative processes in jitter and I woul'd like to mix that with other media in Module8 .... on the same Mac ! Is there a sort of video pipe or network or smthg like this betwin two apps on the same machine ? ..... before I have to buy a Krossfour and mix all in the analog world.
thks

yes it would be nice to have virtual 'streaming' of video within a mac similar to how you have it with audio, soundflower/jack/net send and receive etc... could OSC do anything like this?

Cycling 74 have teamed with Ableton on the video front....and you'll be seeing more video stuff in Ableton, so I doubt you'll be seeing this type of thing between any of the projects.

i'm not sure they're doing anything especially (with Cycling74) on the video front specifically, rather than audio/midi/patching, although i'd love it if they did..

I very intersting too! And is better if we can communicate in two way...
Perhaps we can do like that:
jitter -> videout -> firewire out -> firewire in -> modul8
So the firewire cable go out and in in the same computer... not sur if it work...
Me i need also get the output of modul8 IN puredata or Max...
EDIT:
I'm sure it can be done with quartzcompozer

The best way i found is use this chaine
DVI -> [DVI TO VIDEO] -> camera video in -> DV (Firewire or USB) -> PC
I use this convertisor:
http://store.apple.com/us/product/M9267G/A
I use only the camera to have an analog video input for my mac...
After in Max you can use the objet to grab a camera signal...
Good luck.
