How to sync a long clip to BPM?

    by incuf » Mon Apr 28, 2008 1:21 am

I have a few 1 minute clips made with 126 BPM. How can I sync them with the BPM global value?

Right know I'm doing the sync manually with the speed control. Is there another way?

    cheers

    Hello,

If you synchronize the layer movie shuttle (nr 1 or 2, just under Speed) with the Bpm Layer Router, you can do that I think. I guess you have to divide the bpm if your media is too long.

I just tried it now, it seem to be working...

    Best regards

that work for short clips, I think that a clip should have its own BPM options, so you can tell a clip to fit an x numer of beats.

If you can tell a clip in how many beats it should loop, you can trigger different clips with durations within one layer and everthing will be in sync.

But I gess that would be a request for upcoming modul8 versions

I've been struggling with this for a while, it would definitely be a great addition to modul8. The only reliable method of doing this that I've come across is DVJ's
