BlackMagic Intensity Pro vs modul8 in a mac pro

    by RickRobiN » Mon Nov 10, 2008 3:24 am

    Hey All
Is there someone that installed this card in the mac pro?
Is it possible to do some live beaming with the multiscreen output in modul8? (latency? )
Or does it only work with ON-air software?
    I am talking about these cards>> http://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/intensity/

Would be cool to get my sony fx1 output on multiple screens live...

    cheers

Works really well though we did notice a little bit of audio latency when we loaded up on FX when pulling a feed from Pioneer DVDj's reboot resolved the issue. Latency and quirks have been dramatically reduced by using standardized codecs and resolutions (all clips uing same codec and same res.

    any other thoughts...

A little brain fart in the last post. Hope you do not smell it. Doh!

How about pulling in HDMI from the new Canon 5D MKII into the Black Magic?

I held a demo unit last week and have a number of HD video at 1080 Progressive (not interlaced) and it looks AMAZING in M8. Multiple camera feeds, non interlaced at 1080P will drop jaws.

Run in 4K by shooting stills then make move from stills will be wicked.

Now we need a new way to haul around a Mac Pro Tower... Schweet!
