    Cropping a mirrored output?

    by Evil_Sloth » Sun Jan 17, 2010 8:45 am

G'day guys, I've been doing some live digital painting shows recently, and it's been a bit of a hastle to get an external monitor on stage for me to view my painting on.

I've seen other guys running a mirrored displays so they can paint just on there laptops and have the projector only show a 800x600 portion of the screen so you don't see any of the palettes etc surrounding the canvas.

So my question is how to do I mirror only a certain portion of the screen to an external display/projector?

I know there is probably a quartz thing you can do but is there something like a crop feature in display preferences?

    Cheers.

Resize your preview window as big as you like, turn mirroring off in display preferences and full screen output your painting.
