Luma Keying Makes the Media Dark as Hell

    by Digitalcargo » Wed May 05, 2010 7:01 am

Whenever I Invert Lumakey something, it makes the media look like shit. It looks like it is de-saturating and darkening until it is almost black.

An image will look fine, full-color, correct brightness... but LumaKey/Invert and it turns almost black.

Anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions to correct?

    Many thanks in advance.

how does your media look like? if the transparency is applied to almost all your media depending on it's brightness, and you have a black background, it will look black obviously.

I think you may want to test what lumakey and invert do. Take some very simple clips with clear shapes some BW some color and play around. Shift layers and so on.
