I do not know of a module that does this but I also think you have to explain more deeply what you mean by swapping layers according to sound input. For example how should they swap and at what point should they swap? What parameters do you need to be able to control?

There are different moduls that will swap layers randomly, but Im trying to find one that will swop to "next" if it "hears" a hard beat, e.g a bassdrum. And then you can control how sensible it should be,- hi, mid or low frequency!

I haven't seen any that will swap (=change place). Do you mean turning them on and off?

I tried the (vp) Pimrouter (layer) + (vp) Pimrouter (sound) modules. I'm not sure if they only react to the general in volume or if they react to high/mid/low. I mapped the router to the alpha of a layer and used the sound in option and fiddled with the start/end settings of the router. Is this close to what you are asking for?
