IP/network camera as live video input source

    by mattc986 » Tue Apr 19, 2011 9:45 am

HI, I'm very new to Modul8 and using the software to help create a video installation piece. The artist wants a video montage we have created to include an overlay of a video feed from a camera placed far away from the screen displaying this feed (20+ feet).

So I assumed I would need some sort of ethernet or wifi based camera such as this one here: http://www.networkcamerareviews.com/net ... tails.html

However I have never worked with such a camera and don't want to buy one until I know it will interface with OS X / Modul8 correctly. It seems like these cameras only broadcast their signals in a way that you can view them in a browser by entering their IP addresses.

Is there a way to get a camera like this as a live video input source in Modul8??

    Thanks for your help.
