. well, first you'll need a willing squid....

. it looks all of that was pre-rendered to the music and not happening real-time. however you might be able to create a similar effect through modul8 by having several layers of video (each just highlighting one 'part' + a 'main' video) cut on and off to MIDI, but synchronization would be very difficult.

What exactly do you want to do? Do you mean cutting video to the beat in this style?
I was actually planning to experiment with some animal footage I shot a while ago and it should be possible to do something similar with beatloops (https://vimeo.com/34001079) and some nifty clip switching. I won't have time to test this until my buddy show up here in a few weeks. I'll post something if we end up doing the experiment.
