Hi all,

As I am not a technician perhaps someone of you could help me out please?
I have to create a new videocontent for the decoration of a club in Berlin.
Until now they had an installation of 3 projectors over the bar and 8 others around with the same videocontent (the same signal just splitted into 11) on all projectors and run this with a soft called Pro Video Player where you can programm your loops and let run the installation without any vj.
I would like to change the configuration a bit now: A new videocontent over the bar, means the 3 projectors with a matrox triple p.ex; in 3840x800 and in the same time on the other 8 projectors a second videocontent with one same signal p.ex. 1280x800.
I have the impression that this installation is not possible on one Mac and Modul 8 or Madmapper or am I wrong?

Doable. With a Mac Pro with with multiple video cards you can get a total of 8 outputs, then connect Matrox Devices as needed.

you mean 6 outputs?A macpro w/ HD5770 will only give you 6 outputs. There is no option to output to multiple Video cards in madMapper.

BUT as a workaround you can duplicate the app for each output. It's unsupported but it does work and the overhead in terms of GPU usage is quite low.

I've done a multiprojection setup using 1 modul8 and 4 madmappers opened at the same time and it doesn't work quite well for this purpose as there are frame differencies between every projectors and you can see it…
