Live video input from IP camera?

Postby lemieux » Wed Jun 25, 2014 9:17 pm

Is there a way to input live video received from an IP camera to Modul8?
Would it involve Syphon?

if your ip camera streams a standard video stream that you can open in quicktime for instance, you might be able to save a file that can be reopen in quicktime. From that, it could work in modul8 but I only suppose, no guarantee.

Otherwise, if you can get the video on a webpage, you could use the syphoner app (http://syphoner.sigma6.ch) to grab the image and have it in modul8 syphon input.

Syphoner looks great, unfortunately I'm on a Mac running OS 10.6.8.
