    Soft edges.

    by tdog » Wed Aug 06, 2014 2:38 pm

    hi,
    i can't find the answer i need by search, so i'll ask a very specific question..

    How do I create a soft edge to my ( single ) projector output? not edge blending as such; just want to remove the hard edges of the projector output.
    In such a way that no matter what i do inside modul8, the output is alway masked.
    Thanks,
    tdog.
    By any means necessary....

    There's a "Mask" module you can use to place a media on top of everything.
    You can create a png file that has the soft shape you need from black to transparent.

    hi, thanks for reply;

    i'm trying with that module [mask (global) ?], but when i scale the master output, the mask doesn't scale with the output, so the images 'leak' over the edge..
