I am having this trouble with my miniMad. MiniMad isn't automatically running the program from the SD Card. I assume it's cuz the micro SD CARD got reformatted. How do I format it so it works with mini?

I have got a new 16GB SD card and I flash it with the right 16GB file, but it won't come in my MadMapper.

Yes, I have done the process using Etcher. With the SD card in the Minimad linked to a hdmi screen, I have followed the instruction and pressed the red, yellow, blue button.

But when I use Madmapper and I insert my SD card, nothing month in the program, so I'm stuck!!

By the way, I dont understand why Garageband haven't done the thing simple, and haven't included this process directly in Madmapper. All this stuff downloading stuff with low connection which cut sometimes and flashing procedure, is a pain in the ass.

MiniMad are shipped with an activated SD card so you dont have to format the card and therefore download the -huge- image disk.
the image disk can't be reduced and I agree it's a pain to download such a huge file especially when you're already trying to fix an issue
Your feedback will be shared though since improving the minimad is always in our priorities

you said your sd card doesn't mount in MM, but does the card actually mount in your system?

My roommates destroyed the first SDCard using the minimad for our MadLedLustre. That is why I tried to do an another one.




The SDCard, seems to be activated:

Ok, so your new SD-card is up and running.
The MINIMAD partition is the only one available from macOS & Windows.

We've recently discovered a problem we failed to reproduce so far: for some reason, a /Volumes/MINIMAD folder could still exist even though the SD-card has been ejected... Because of that (empty) folder, macOS will mount the MiniMad SD-card in a new /Volumes/MINIMAD 1 or something similar, and because MadMapper is focusing on a MINIMAD volume, it doesn't get the SD-card.

So, please try this:
1. Make sure no MiniMad SD-card is plugged in your computer, and MadMapper is not running
2. Check if /Volumes/MINIMAD exists by copy and pasting the following line in the Terminal:
ls /Volumes/MINIMAD/
3. If it exists (= the previous command didn't return any error), the solution is to remove /Volumes/MINIMAD folder using the Terminal again:
sudo rm -r /Volumes/MINIMAD/

Then, you can insert the MiniMad SD-card in your computer again, launch MadMapper, and the SD-card should appear in the export dialog again.

Please let us know.

In the meantime, I've been able to reproduce the problem artificially (still not knowing how it can happen), and it should not be a problem anymore in coming MadMapper 4.2.
