MiniMad 4 image too big

I am trying to update the image on my MiniMad using a Mac. I have downloaded the 8Gb image for my 8Gb card, but when I select the image and the SD card in Balena Etcher, it says the card is too small (see attached image). I have tried removing the partitions and formatting the SD card using the official SD card formatter, but the problem still exists. Balena Etcher says that the image is ~85Mb too big.
What might be causing this issue, and how might it be resolved?

On further inspection, it seems that the card only has 7.78GB available according to Balena Etcher, whereas the MiniMad 4 image is estimated to end up at 7.91GB (so close!). I
It also shows the same error when trying to flash MiniMad 3 and 2. This is strange because this is the original SD card that came with the MiniMad, so I know it has worked in the past!

It's indeed very strange, because the latest MiniMad 4 images have been especially reworked to accommodate smaller SD-card sizes.
Are you using the latest MiniMad_4_210715_8GB.img?
