    Issue: Midi Fader upside down

    by Trickboxx » Fri Oct 07, 2016 10:13 pm

    Hello,

I have the following Problem with MadMapper 2.5 Beta 5: Every Fader on my Mididesk (Livid Elements) is upside down > Fader down 100% / Fader up 0%
    Same Problem with Beta 6….

With Modul8 and other Programms on the same System / same Mididesk / same Configuration everything is alright > Fader down 0% / Fader up 100%

System ist: MacBookPro Late 2011 / MacOS Sierra 10.12

    Any Suggestions? Thank You. Robert

    GREAT IDEA…

BUT = I use the same Fader (Midi Address) to control not only the Function in Madmapper, so Fader down in Madmapper 100% in the other Software 0% and Fader up in Madmapper 0% in the other Software 100%. I would like to have Fader down in Madmapper and the other Software 0% and Fader up in Madmapper and the other Software 100%.

I can turn this in my Midi Controller Configuration Program but then I am not compatible to other Software…...

    Thank You, Robert

    What's your controller ?
Can you check values received with MIDI Monitor ?
A solution would be to change the source range in MadMapper (min=127 - max=0) but if there's a problem in MM I'd like to understand why the MIDI binary data would be interpreted differently in MM that in M8, MIDI is very simple so it should be easy to understand.

    Hello,

it is an Livid Elements Controller - but I have tested (with the same configuration) 4 other Midicontrollers today and all works fine….so the Problem is NOT Madmapper.

The Livid Elements has 8 changeable Surfaces with Knobs, Faders and Buttons and they can individually build together - so I disconnect the Surface (Faders) that doesn't work and connect a new one…..everything is alright. Now works with all Kind of Software with my Configuration. I think the disconnected Livid Elements Surface (fader) is malfunctioning ..the exact Problem I have unfortunately not found.

    greetings, Robert
