DMX glitches?

Is anyone else experiencing DMX glitches when using the garagecube usb to dmx adapter? for me it glitches a lot, every few seconds, it seems to be triggered by switching betweens programs on the mac for example, when it glitches the red led on the adapter stops blinking meaning it stops receiving serial data from the mac for a short time.
