This a really great feature. It would be really awesome to have this function for masks too. create lines from mask outlines would give me a really time saver for my installations.

Thanks for the feedback.
We'll implement it like. but you can already do it, since you can copy/paste bezier pathes from a surface to another:
- Select your mask surface, select the bezier path you want to create lines from and press Cmd+C / Ctrl+C
- Create a Line Surface and press Cmd+V / Ctrl+V
You can also copy/paste bezier pathes from a line surface to a quad (will create masks) or to a mask surface
That's it !
