here our last video installation for WAD magazine . this mag does a big party everyyear abnd we were hired to created a scenography for this event. we created an extruded 3D logo and mapped video on it thanks to modul8 and a Matrox dualHead2go:

once you set up the surface you want to map
you draw a mask on photoshop and us it as a mask on modul8
it is that simple . the trick is to us a black background to increase brightness and contrast of the mapped surface.

please answear me this.
i have done in the past some mapping projects. no problem.
but how you manage the rest surface apart from the logo to keep it totaly dark ?
the frame of the projector i mean.

you must create a mask that is just the syme of your shape and fit the projection on your shape. For instance, create a black image with the logo transparent in it so you can apply this image at the top of all your medias using the mask module.
