Kickstarter Campaign Ends Soon
Oakland, California (May 3rd, 2012) – Video artist and projectionist, Luke Judd is running a kickstarter campaign to raise money to build a portable, self powered video projection system to create temporary mobile installations on buildings, structures, and trees in Oakland,CA.
The expressed purpose is to create ephemeral street art using light, building a rig to be able take a message to the streets at a moment’s notice or inspiration. Sometimes it will be subversive, sometimes it will be purely aesthetic.
With the rig, installations will be setup in five minutes and broken down in two. Running off a deep cycle battery it will be quiet.On wheels or a bike trailer it will be able to access hidden or hard reach locations.
Judd often makes content on the fly, and tailors the images to the space. The roving rig will also be a tool for collaboration, bringing various artists' work or having artists make work in the public spaces.
Campaign goal is $3,300 and will end midnight Thursday May 3rd.
