Hello! I just did a gig at the Joyous Lake in Woodstock, New York. I ran Modul8 beta 2.0 for ten hours! During that time I did alot of experimentation and was wowed by a few tricks and effects that I had not previously been awaare of. First of all, the "A" set, "B" set automation and tap control was awesome. I had it switching between a live feed in each set, layered over other stuff. But the "B" feed was a mirror image of the first. This kind of switching of position made otherwise static performers look like they were bopping around the stage. Next, I put the singer into a sphere and hit the "sound" and tweaked the "noise." This version of Modul8 is infinitely more receptive to sound than the first iteration. Version 1 kind of reacted to a band, for example, as a uniform "wall of sound," whereas the 2.0 version detects beats and other nuances very well. As a band segued from calm and peaceful to full tilt ferocity, the effect system would read it. I've got to say that the resulting VJ show looked to alot of people like a fully produced video, with the exception that it was obvious that it was being done live, due to the live video stream. The only problems I had were that, occassionally, for some unknown reason, my titling would not come up, and other times I had problems getting trace to fire up in the projector display, while it did appear in the preview window. (See M8 2.0 beta discussion) All in all, the crowd was knocked off their feet. M8 worked its magic in Woodstock! BTW, Lots of goddesses were impressed, as well!
    The Revolution must be televised!
