Hi all,

Has anyone managed to read ogg-theora encoded videos in Modul8? I thought that if Quicktime can read it, then it should be possible?

Well, I found Xiph QuickTime Components here:
http://www.xiph.org/quicktime/

I installed them into /Library/Components and Quicktime now plays ogg-theora, but Modul8 still gives me a message saying "Media not supported".

Any ideas?

Hello mikewoz,

Modul 2.5.7 does not recognize the .ogg extension as movie, this is why it says "Media not supported".

But renaming it with .avi or .mov makes the Xiph codec unhappy.

Xiph codec is at the moment not compatible with Modul8's multi-threaded decoding architecture.

We will try to sort this out for the next release.
