I have a larger image and what i wanted to do was display random stills and shots of the image on the downbeat of the music. Seems pretty easy right?

so..

1. I set the Automove in Animation Effects to Random, picked the all around option, and increased the size
2. I Set the BPM (Global) module to the speed of the song.
3. I Set the BPM router (Layer) to "pick" and selected speed.

... and to my dismay rather than taking over the actual speed of the automove, it modulates the speed (increasing and decreasing the speed).

I cant imagine this is what was intended for the software. How can you "take over" the speed of automove so that it is 1/4, 1/2, 1/8, 1/1, 2/1, and so on? Does anybody get my drift?

Problem with automove set to "around" you'll only show parts of the image around the circle its moving in (if you see what i mean.).

Random Position (Layer) is more er random but its not bpm linked and it shrinks the layer down.

Maybe ask one of the clever module makers if one could be modified to work with bpm, i'd certainly be able to make use of such a module too...it would look pretty cool with a live input of a crowd for example.
