    crossfading reveals all layers

    by martyw79 » Mon Feb 08, 2010 4:12 am

    Hi,

When crossfading between A & B all layers get shown in the output.

Say I have multiple layers in both A & B...if the top layer is a
mask for the next layer down...the mask fades and reveals what's
    on both layers.

    Is this a bug?

it's not a bug. When you say the top layer is a "mask" it is not a mask really. You're using it to mask but it is still a normal layer so its transparency will be affected by crossfading.

is there a way to stop it becoming transparent?
kinda kills the visual when you're using layers with blending modes and luma key.

make your mask transparent without luma key - in production with photoshop or after effects.
