Knobs are absolute! Need relative control

    by wobulation » Wed Feb 24, 2010 2:02 am

Ii have a panel of knobs, but all my values are absolute. if i touch turn a knob just a hair, the value jumps from 0 - 100%! i downloaded the miidi relative module, but i cant figure it out. How to i get my knob to turn at the same rate i turn them on my midi device?
    Help!

Which midi device ? Which M8 command ?
Sounds like a midi device's setting problem, not a Modul8 one. Try to change the mode you send data with your knob (there should be several) by setting your midi device itself.

I mapped my knob to several different commands all with the same effect. Be it the opacity of each layer, or blur, or rotation it doesnt matter. It all does the same. I have a numark mixmeister control. How do i get the controls to respond relatively? I have had this same issue with resolume avenue, buut there was a setting for defiining midi input as relative, as opposed to On/Off, inside the resolume software. To put it another way, how do i get the software knobs to move identically to the knobs on my midi device?
