    movie entry/exit point selection

    by nano » Fri Jun 18, 2010 9:10 pm

    Hello!

I'm new to modul8. I want to use the movie entry/exit point parameter. It works, but each time I change a value of either entry or exit point the clip jumps back to the current entry point position which looks like a kind of uncontrolled scratching effect. Is there any way around that, so that I can change entry/exit points without the clip restarting all the time but looping smoothly within my selection?
    Thanks in advance for help!

it's because your clip is still playing, so when you drag the mouse it shows the frame your on with the slider and when you stop moving the mouse, even a microsecond, it continues playing the clip. If you set the layer speed to zero then it won't happen again

Thanks for the quick reply! Problem is, I need the clip to be playing. Is a there a possibility to prevent modul8 from showing the frame I'm currently on, or do you know maybe a modul that could do the job?

Problem is, if there's no preview of the frame wher you want to cut your clip, you won't know what value to set… anyway, I've made a module so you can set in and out points values then apply these value with a one click button. When you set the value, it will just restart the clip to the beginning.

The module is called (s6) Set Crop Time and you can find it in the public library.
