I am considering buying a PCI Expansion chasis for magma.com - does anyone know wheter this system will work with a Powerbook g4 1.67 through the carbus slot. The chasis could hold 7 PCI cards and 7 Drives in a rack mount box.

It would be nice to have a feature to collect all the media files used in a project in a specified folder - similar to a collect for output feature in a graphic design program. It would be cool to move a few project files to saller portable devices for small presentations or demos.

I am looking to purchase gear, and I was wondering if a disk array helps the speed, or does it create a bottleneck if using a single firewire connection - A firewire array w/ laptop.
