HI, I have similar problems running osx Ventura on MBP16" full spec.

    * Menubar crashes / not responding after launching Modul8.app
--force quit then it works 2nd try
    * Modules : some are not showing correctly (GUI frame) or not working
    -- no fix
    --e.g. subtitle module
    * Filters:Few causes crash and restart of modul8
    -- no fix
    *Import / Open file
--causes a small "system hang" while browsing for file to open, very slow not responsive

When I was using modul8 during theatre performance I had some layer effects that would not respond after adjusting, and turn off the effect (Scale) then turn back on, still the layer was frozen. After deleting layer it would respond again. Not what I'm used to in modul8 2.9

I had a file with audio that wouldn't play the audio over headphone out. After restart is worked. Audio out was working for QuickTime not for modul8 ( I checked)

So there are some things that I hope can be fixed ? Overall as long time user I'm still very happy with the software. would actually like to use it more now I have a new laptop ..

I'm having a similar issue, but not able to get modul8 to relaunch reliably at all. I'll get the bouncing icon in my dock, which stops after a minute or so and then the only thing I can do is right-click the dock icon, Force Quit, and try again. This sometimes repeats seemingly endlessly. Every once in a while (after restarting my laptop and beginning the process again) after, say, 5-6 tries, modul8 will magically launch--but if I close it and try to relaunch, the whole process starts over again.

And what's extra frustrating is that the same thing is happening with MadMapper--except I've yet to have any success with MadMapper launching at all.

    --------

    I'm on a 2019 Macbook Pro 16" (Intel)
    2.3GHz 8-Core i9
    AMD Radeon Pro 5600M 8GB / Intel UHD 630 1536MB
    16GB 2667 MHz DDR4
    Ventura 13.2.1

Both pieces of software were working before I upgraded from Catalina two days ago.

I ran the modul8 preferences smasher just before the OS upgrade when i was trying to solve an issue I was having with the sound input pot snapping back to zero on its own.

Modul8 3.1.13 is available on Yourspace, and it fixes Modul8 freezing at startup, together with modules not finding Python libraries.

It cuts the sound in the video sometimes, I would be happy if you fix this problem. video sound does not come in the first seconds it comes later
